Trust is the currency they prey on.
It’s never about the favor, the call, the message. It’s about watching how far they can push it before you hesitate, before you question.
They smile in your face through the phone. They weave sob stories, flattery, promises, and deadlines into a net designed to catch the one thing you can’t afford to give lightly: your attention.
I’ve seen it too many times. People convinced the con is real because it feels real. That feeling is the trap.
The rule is simple: if someone wants something from you and rushes, pressures, or manipulates, they’re not there for the connection—they’re there for the take.
Trust wisely. Not everyone deserves it. And the ones who don’t will remind you just how expensive it can be.
