He took their lives as an offering to Bacchus New Samantha Leary Supernatural Thriller

Some killers believe they are acting alone.

Brad Thayer believes he is answering a god.

The Chosen Ones is a dark supernatural psychological thriller centered on two murdered women, a quiet killer, and an ancient presence Brad believes has chosen them as offerings to Bacchus.

Tracy Yater and Sylvia Shepherd have nothing in common except one place: The Reveler’s. Their deaths initially appear to be the work of a methodical predator, but the investigation uncovers something stranger. Bronze bulls. Pinecone-tipped staffs. Carefully staged bodies beneath the live oaks. And Brad Thayer, who insists that every part of the ritual was demanded of him.

Then comes the heat.

During Brad’s interrogation, Samantha Leary and Detective Greg Dickson experience an oppressive, unnatural rise in temperature that neither can explain. Brad knows what they are feeling. To him, it is proof that Bacchus is present.

Samantha has spent years separating documented facts from what people believe. She knows Brad is a murderer. She knows the evidence. She knows what happened to Tracy and Sylvia.

But she also knows what she felt in that room.

Was the heat simply something they couldn’t explain—or was something actually there?

The investigation may be finished. Brad may be behind bars. But Samantha is left with one question she cannot answer:

Can something be impossible and still be real?

The Chosen Ones is a dark, atmospheric thriller where murder, belief, and the unexplained converge—and the supernatural never gives up its answers.
