When I interviewed Greyson, I realized I wasn’t dealing with something normal.
Greyson Yarmouth sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the wall. She didn’t speak to me for almost twenty minutes. When she finally did, what came out was more confusing than I had expected.
“It was like the room shifted and the air thickened,” Greyson told me. “I heard them all around me. Voices. Thousands of them. I couldn’t hear everything. I knew they wanted me to talk to you. About Carolyn and what Victor did to her.”
“If this is about a missing person, you should talk to the police,” I told her.
“No.” Greyson’s eyes were wide and fearful. It was almost as if she had seen something she wasn’t supposed to see.
“I can’t go to the police,” Greyson said. “They want you to know. Only you.”
This wasn’t the first time someone had given me information I couldn’t verify, or information that had come from someone else.
But this was the first time someone had spoken as if something beyond our world was communicating through them.
I slowly began to take down the message Greyson said she had for me.
If this was real, Greg and I would find out what was going on.
