A child is found alone on a dark stretch of road.
Her name is Joy.
She has no parents with her. No explanation for where she came from. And nothing about the circumstances of her appearance makes sense.
Hanna takes her home.
Then the fog comes to Miller’s Point.
It spreads through the town, and something moves inside it. People are attacked as the fog tears through the streets, searching for someone it knows by name.
Joy.
As the danger closes around Hanna’s home, pieces of Joy’s story begin to surface. She wanted something simple. A place to live. A real home. A white door. The chance to experience the ordinary life she had only watched from the outside.
She wanted to be human.
But the fog knows she does not belong.
And it will keep coming for her.
As Hanna tries to protect the child who has nowhere else to go, the line between helping Joy and putting herself in danger disappears.
Because Joy isn’t an intruder.
She is a child who wanted a real home.
And something in the fog has come to take her away.
Miller’s Point is a dark supernatural thriller about belonging, sacrifice, and the desperate desire to live an ordinary human life when something beyond understanding refuses to let you stay.
