The Intruder
Mara Voss thought the worst thing that could happen on her drive home was the accident.
She hit someone on a dark road and stopped. For a moment, she faced the decision she knew she had to make. She could call the police, explain what happened, and accept whatever came next.
Instead, Mara drove away.
She tells herself she can put the accident behind her. She makes it home and tries to return to a normal evening with her son, Julian. But something has followed her home.
At first, it’s difficult to explain. There are strange sounds outside. Things don’t seem right around the house. Then the threat becomes impossible to ignore.
Someone is coming for them.
As Mara and Julian find themselves trapped inside their own home, the attacks grow more frightening. They don’t know who is responsible, what the intruder wants, or how far this person is willing to go.
But Mara knows there is one thing she hasn’t told anyone.
She left someone lying in the road.
And now the consequences of that decision have found her.
The Intruder is a psychological thriller about guilt, fear, and what happens when one terrible decision follows you home.
