Megan thought babysitting seven-year-old Jake Kentworth would be easy.
Then Jake told her he was talking to his brother. But Troy died 2 years before Jake was born.
At first, Megan assumes Troy is an imaginary friend. But Jake knows things he shouldn’t know—things about a child who died nine years ago, things his parents have never told him.
Then Jake begins talking about the bathroom.
About cold water.
About his mother sleeping.
And about what happened to Troy.
As Megan gets closer to the truth, Jake becomes increasingly frightened, insisting that Troy is still there and trying to make someone listen. Strange sounds begin coming from inside the house. Objects move. Jake hears a voice no one else can hear.
And whatever Jake is experiencing doesn’t stay inside his family’s home.
It follows him.
When Megan finally confronts Jake’s parents, a buried secret is forced into the open—and the truth destroys the life they have spent years trying to protect.
But even after the secret is revealed, one question remains:
If Troy is gone, who has been talking to Jake?
WHAT HE SAW is a dark supernatural thriller about guilt, buried secrets, and a child’s desperate attempt to make the adults around him listen.
